"Times Gone By"

This railroad track is seldom used. A dinner train used to run up and down these tracks before they went out of business. It was an old train and sounded like the ones you hear in old movies, very nostalgic. I miss the train.

  1. There’s a track winding back to an old fashioned shack along the road to Gundegai. (Old Aussie Song Lyrics.

  2. Wonderful image for the theme, with the snow this looks so timeless! Really nice idea and beautiful image!

  3. The track curving away and disappearing into the distance is a good take on nostalgia. What a shame the trains are almost gone here in the USA.

  4. What a fabulous, fabulous photograph.

  5. This is one of my favorite landscape photos to date. The softness of the colours and the composition are “timeless” Outstanding photo!

  6. Sweet. I love the leading lines of the tracks and the snow covered trees. Very nice.

  8. extraordinary photo! what a special place to walk and take pics…this shot makes me actually hear the train comin’!!! : )

  9. Wonderful! Makes me want to follow the track into the scene.

  10. The rails draw me right into this hauntingly beautiful picture. Nicely done!

  11. I hear plenty of trains every day, but still love it. (Luckily from the “right” side of the tracks…) This photo is beautiful. It makes me a little sad almost.
