187 of 365 for 2009 – Handicraft
This is a connection point of a series of wood struts which are part of a performance stage I designed for the City of Puyallup. This stage is located adjacent to this structure, also designed by my firm which is part of the downtown core for Puyallup. The Puyallup Farmers’ Market takes place there every week and the world famous Puyallup Fair is just down the street. They will be using this stage for the Summer Concert Series, among other events. I am pleased with the construction so far.
Blog posts of the full structure coming soon.
(This is another in a series of iPhone posts)

Very interesting! What does this particular part of the construction do? Does it hold an enormous amount of weight?
This is one of three columns holding up the structure. Stay tuned for pictures of the whole structure that should give you perspective with respect to this connection point.
Functional beauty – wonderful!
